Description
This ball marker is made from Zebrawood, in the species Microberlinia, also called Zebrano. It is native to Central Africa, especially Gaboon, Cameroon and the Congo. It is a hard, heavy wood with a pale background ranging from yellowish tan to light brown, overlaid with an irregular pattern of black strips. The texture is somewhat coarse and its interlocking grain makes it very difficult to work with. It is often used for the stocks of gun handles and was once used by Cadillac and Mercedes-Benz.

This particular ball marker is on the large size, slightly larger than a 50 cent piece.
